Thing I Don’t Understand

There are plenty of things in this world that have me scratching my head and asking “why?!” These are the things on the top of that list:

1. When people say “Leggings aren’t pants!”
If leggings aren’t pants, what are they? A hat? A shirt? THEY ARE PANTS. Sure, some people take them to an extreme and make them look terrible. With that being said though, some people can ROCK THOSE LEGGINGS and look fabulous in them. I wish people would just stop saying they aren’t pants. They are. 

2. When people say “If you’re posting about how happy you are in your relationship on Facebook, i’m assuming you’re secretly miserable and your relationship is about to fall apart.”
Uhm, excuse me but WHAT?! Since when does posting that you’re happy secretly mean that you’re miserable?! I missed that memo. If i’m happy and want to share it with my friends and family, I should be allowed to post it to whatever site I want and not feel ridiculed for it. 

3. The saying “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”
Those people have clearly never had double stuffed oreos. 

4. The “Blondes Vs. Brunettes” debate.
Why does it matter what color someones hair is? Everyone has their own taste/opinion. One is not “better” than the other. That is just silly. 

5. When stores have items on “clearance” but it’s only one dollar or less cheaper. 
I’m sorry, but that is NOT a clearance price. Why even mark it as clearance?!

5 Current Goals

Goals. Everyone has them. Quite frankly, mine probably aren’t much different from anyone else’s I know. However, they’re the goals I am trying to achieve right now. I think having goals are important because it keeps you striving for something to better yourself or others. Without further ado, my current goals. 

1. Exercise more. Or at all. I ran today for the first time in just about forever. I know you are all expecting me to say “IT FELT AWESOME!” or “It was totally worth it!” But you know what? It kind of sucked. A lot. It took everything in me to reach my goal of running/walking one mile. But I did it. And like M told me, “It will just be that much easier tomorrow”. He’s right. Tomorrow will be a better day at the run and each day is a new day for new running/exercising goals. I’m not concerned with losing weight exactly, although that would be awesome, I just wanted to be healthier and more in shape! 

2. Eat better. Who doesn’t want this in their life? There’s always room for improvement. In my case? A lot of improvement. I love ice cream, popcorn, snacking on candy, and eating really bad for me foods. The next few weeks I am going to try really watching what i’m eating and also what i’m cooking for my family. 

3. Try to cut dairy out. A few years ago I became allergic to dairy. Don’t tell me “wow that sucks”,I KNOW IT DOES!!! I don’t think i’ll ever be able to fully cut dairy out, but I am taking baby steps to do what I can do quit eating it in every single thing I eat. Because lets be honest, being sick every day is becoming really, REALLY old. 

4. Not stress about the wedding. Dream big, right? Just kidding. I just don’t want to become bridezilla in the next two months and be the girl everyone hates. I’m trying to stay calm while still getting things done. It’s possible, right?

5. Swoon my handsome. With the wedding coming so soon and a million other things taking place right now, I want to make a serious effort to keep things exciting with M and I. Seems silly, but hey, it is a goal. (PS, I LOVE YOU BABE!)

I feel like writing down goals helps you stay accountable a little easier. Also, posting it on the internet gives you crazy people who read my blog permission to kick my butt about any of the above listed goals. 😉

HUMP DAY, DUMP DAY.

Happy Hump Day, everyone! If you live under a rock and haven’t seen this video yet, go do it now. You can thank me later. 

Okay now that we are all in a good mood because of our friend the camel, lets talk about my photo dump for the day! I figured this was a fun way for you, the amazing people who read my blog, to see the pictures i’ve taken for the week! (Plus or minus the 29582 selfies I take)

1. I’ve really tried to watch what i’ve been eating lately due to the fact that I WILL NOT fit into my wedding dress if I don’t start. I don’t mean that negatively, i’m just stating facts. And lets be honest, this Lean Cuisine was DELICIOUS. I was actually surprised! 

2. You know what I love about our relationship? Knowing we are having all of our “last first times” with each other! Sunday was one of those days for us and we were REALLY excited about what we did! That exciting news will be put into another post once everything plays out. (Don’t cha want to REALLY stick around now?!)

3. The other night we sat on my back patio, grilled, and watched the storm roll in! Oh and enjoyed an adult beverage. I know you can’t tell from the picture, but the sky was beyond dark. Fun fact? Rainy, stormy, cold weather is my FAVORITE kind of weather. 

4. Sometimes at work, we get broken pie shells. #pastrychefproblems
