We’ve all been there. Ladies, don’t pretend like you don’t know what I’m talking about. We embark on the endeavor of making dinner, trying to be fancy with that spaghetti, and we end up making enough to feed every homeless person in your entire state. Yup, we’ve ALLLLL done it. DON’T YOU FRET my friends! Today we (my husband and I) are here to bring you 7 Things To Do With Leftover Spaghetti!
1. S’ghetti Fries
When you’re over the typical “chili fries”, go for something WAY more exciting! And not to mention using leftovers, how awesome! Take your potatoes, dug fresh that morning from your garden (or store bought is fine), and make your every day french fries. (Or frozen is fine) Once you’re ready to eat, top with your s’ghetti and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. PURE PERFECTION! Also, grate some fresh parmesan from Italy overtop, or if you don’t have any,
store bought is fine.
2. S’ghetti Smoothie
Okay, we’re all into being healthy, right?! Spice up your morning green smoothie! Kale, spinach, apples, celery, carrots, AND S’GHETTI!
3. S’ghetti & Coke
Have a long day at work? Need a drink? Open your cabinet and find your out of rum?! *BUT WHY IS ALL THE RUM GONE?!* Don’t you worry my dear friend, slip that s’ghetti right in with your coke and you’ll never know the difference. Except when you stay sober all night. But, it will be delicious and you can thank me later!
4. Biscuits and S’ghetti
Who doesn’t love biscuits and gravy?! (Well, i don’t but that’s beside the point) I LOVE homemade biscuits. Pioneer Woman makes a great ‘drop biscuit recipe’ if anyone is interested. OKAY OKAY LOSING MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT! Top those biscuits with s’ghetti from last nights dinner and BAM! A full meal for your enjoyment!
5. S’ghetti & Eggs
Probably our favorite on the list so far. (I say “our” because remember when I said my dear husband was writing this with me?! Isn’t he a gem?!?!) Toss some s’ghetti in a frying pan, top with eggs, and cook until your desired doneness.
6. S’ghetti Con Leche
If you’re out of cereal, just use s’ghetti! Place in bowl, top with milk. You’re welcome.
7. S’ghetti S’mores
I HATE when i’m craving a s’more but i’m out of marshmallows. Place your s’ghetti in-between two grahams and you ALMOST have the SAME thing! ALMOST.
But let’s be honest, the BEST way to eat leftover spaghetti is after it has sat in the fridge all night in your tupperware. Cold, alone, and crying for attention. On the middle shelf. Un-noticed. A lot like my entire childhood. Hashtag middle child problems. Where are my spaghetti lovers at?!?! I hope you found this post fun and light-hearted! Hope you all have a great week!! XOXO.
For your entertainment, I present to you…the things I am bad at! 1. Meal planning. In fact, I am writing this blog post in order to avoid meal planning. Do you meal plan? I need to find a simpler way of doing this! 2. Using metal utensils on metal pans when I shouldn’t. Sometimes I just don’t have a clean rubber spatula when I need it. Don’t judge me. 3. Staying on Pinterest far longer than acceptable. The plus side though? My home decor boards and recipe ideas are flowin’! 4. Getting my nails re-done when it’s time. I hardly get them done in the first place, so when I do, I usually let them grow out to an unacceptable, ridiculous looking state. 5. Drinking the right amounts of water. I just simply don’t drink that much. 6. Having cute handwriting. I missed that class somewhere in my life and my handwriting has forever suffered. 7. Scheduling blog posts when I should. Apparently all good bloggers meticulously plan out their posts. I on the other hand write them when i’m laying on my living room floor trying to avoid the things mentioned in point numero uno. 8. Using far too many hashtags on instagram. #sorrynotsorry There you have it, a few things that i’m really bad at! Do we share any of these qualities?! Let me know. 😉
While i’ve been stalking pinterest religiously planning my wedding, i’ve had so many ideas coming and going through my head! The wedding planning process has gone a little something like this…
As soon as I got engaged I went out and bought every wedding magazine in site. Soon after, I bought a strawberry shake from Sonic and proceeded to lounge by my pool and day dream about thousand dollar weddings I cant afford. Hey, a girl can dream!
Also, I did a very “bride” thing and ran to the nearest bridal show I could find. Who doesn’t love going to look at 509390 different cakes, caterers, floral arrangements, so forth and so on?!
While at this bridal show I came across one venue that I knew my fiancé would LOVE. I myself was set on a different one (from pictures), but I knew he would love this one. I went and looked at the one I loved and although it was beautiful, I felt like the other place might be it. We went and toured the venue I knew M would like and I was right, he loved it. (1 POINT BRIDE) We called the next day to tell the events coordinator we loved it and wanted to book. Soon following, we signed our lives away. 😉
I’ve spent countless hours on Pinterest trying to find things I love. I’ve even attempted a few DIY projects. Lets just say i’m NOT the crafty one out of the group, but hey, i’m trying!
DIY GLITTER MASON JARS ANYONE?! 😉
We also had our “Save the Date” photos done and I could not have been more happy with the way they turned out! I had so much fun shooting them and it just reassures me that I am truly marrying my best friend!
Wedding planning has been an adventure for me so far. Its a lot different than just pinning things I like on pinterest. Can you believe this stuff actually costs MONEY?! Okay, kidding, but still. Its been a lot of fun so far! We still have a LOT of things to figure out, but for right now, I feel as if i’m staying on track!
6 more months until this handsome man gets to be my husband!
